From the South (Washington, Virginia, etc.)
Via I-95, northbound:
Exit at I-395, then take the exit to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Take MLK Boulevard until it ends at Howard Street (remain in one of the middle lanes of MLK Boulevard to avoid a premature forced right or left turn). Turn left at Howard Street and proceed about 2 miles. Turn right on 27th Street; then turn left on Charles Street; the Press is the second building on the right. Find street parking.
Via Maryland 295 (the Baltimore-Washington Parkway), northbound:
Entering Baltimore, the parkway becomes Russell Street. Stay on Russell Street until (with Oriole Park at Camden Yards looming before you) you reach the right-hand exit marked Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (look carefully for this; the signs are small). Take MLK Boulevard until it ends at Howard Street (remain in one of the middle lanes of MLK Boulevard to avoid a premature forced right or left turn). Turn left at Howard Street and proceed about 2 miles. Turn right on 27th Street; at Charles Street, take a left; the second building on the right is JHUP. Find street parking.
From the North (Philadelphia, New York, etc.)
Via I-95 or I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway), southbound:
Take the Beltway toward Towson to exit 25. Take Charles Street south for about 7 miles (when Charles Street splits a block after Loyola College and Cold Spring Lane, take the right fork). Take a left at University Parkway, and then the next right, to St. Paul. Stay on St. Paul until 27th St., turn right. At the light (27th and Charles), turn right. The second building on the right is the JHUP building. Find street parking.
Via I-83 (the Jones Falls Expressway), southbound:
Alternatively, from the north side of Beltway, take I-83 southbound into Baltimore City. Take the 28th Street exit to 28th Street east. Follow past Howard, past Charles, then turn right on St. Paul. Turn right on 27th. At 27th and Charles, turn right again; the second building on the right is JHUP. Find street parking.
Baltimore’s Penn Station and is located on North Charles Street, approximately 15 blocks south of the Press. A cab ride from the station to the Press costs about $3.00. Train schedules from all over the US are available from Amtrak, from the Mid-Atlantic region on the MARC train line, from the Washington area on the Washington Metrorail, or from the Baltimore area on the Baltimore MTA/Light Rail.
