Meet Ashani T. Weeraratna, PhD

Ashani T. Weeraratna is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Cancer Biology and the chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. A groundbreaking researcher focused on the connections between aging and cancer, Weeraratna is also the co-program leader of the Cancer Invasion and Metastasis Program at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and the president of the Society for Melanoma Research.
