Charles H. Hennekens, MD, DrPH, is a world-renowned clinician, teacher, researcher, and the First Sir Richard Doll Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University. Previously, he was the First John Snow Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the first Chief of Preventive Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Hennekens is the author of the foundational textbook Epidemiology in Medicine, and his extensive research on cardiovascular disease prevention has made him one of the world’s most highly cited medical scientists and a leading figure in medicine and preventive medicine.
