Jessica Miles most recently was vice president, strategy and investments for Holtzbrinck Publishing Group. She drove strategic planning, business transformation, mergers & acquisitions, and investments in science and technology to develop new products and services for accelerating and enhancing research and science communication. Previously, she held various leadership roles at Cell Press and Elsevier, including implementing a transformation of end-to-end publishing processes and managing the Trends series of review journals, and worked in the legal sector. Across these roles, Jessica has championed inclusive and rigorous science, advocating for sex and gender-based analysis in research, DEI in peer review, and underrepresented communities in STEM. She holds a doctorate in microbiology from Yale University.
