Joshua L. Freeman is vice president for business development at Prorata.ai where he works with publishers across the media landscape to provide fair compensation and credit for their content using Prorata.ai’s attribution technology for generative AI. He is recognized for his extensive expertise spanning the technology, media, and nonprofit industries. Previously, at Samsung Next, Joshua built and led a team dedicated to supporting a diverse portfolio of 250 companies, enhancing their sales, development, and marketing strategies and fostering their success in a competitive landscape. Earlier, Josh made significant contributions at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where he spearheaded digital initiatives and created Trellis, a collaborative platform tailored for scientists. His early experiences at Discovery Communications and AOL laid a foundation for his expertise in digital media and product development. In a past life, Josh lived and worked in Russia for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.
A Harvard MBA, he also holds a Master's in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor's in Russian studies from Amherst College. Josh is the Advisory Board Chair of the Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement. He speaks Russian and is learning Ukrainian.
