JHUP Adds Three New Journals

The new additions to the Johns Hopkins University Press' journals collection for 2017 will take readers from the American southwest to 19th century England to the recent history of China. The acquisition of Arizona Quarterly, Twentieth-Century China and Victorian Review brings JHUP's roster of journals to 86.

"We are pleased to welcome these outstanding journals to JHUP," said Journals Publisher William Breichner. "All are important publications in their respective fields and their inclusion will add value to our already outstanding journals catalog."

Arizona Quarterly will publish its 73rd volume in 2017. Edited by Lynda Zwinger at the University of Arizona, the journal publishes scholarly essays on American literature, broadly defined. AQ has a particular interest in global perspectives on U.S. literary and cultural texts.

Twentieth-Century China begins its relationship with JHUP with Volume 42. Kristin Stapleton from the University at Buffalo edits the journal, which is the journal of the Historical Society for Twentieth-Century China. The journal publishes articles from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives, particularly insightful, empirically-oriented studies that are based on Chinese-language documents and have historical depth.

Victorian Review looks to publish the best interdisciplinary, international research in the field. Edited by Christopher Keep from Western University, the journal will publish its 43rd volume in 2017. Victorian Review publishes twice a year on a wide-range of Victorian topics.

The Johns Hopkins University Press has an extensive journals collections, mainly focused on the social sciences and humanities. For more information on the new titles and other JHU Press journals, visit the Journals section of our site.
