Thoughtful activities to inspire connection, conversation, and dignity in dementia care.

People living with dementia deserve engagement that is respectful, meaningful, and rooted in who they are. Through the Years continues a beloved series with a carefully designed collection of questions and activities that help caregivers and adults with memory challenges connect through shared memories and conversation. Dementia care leaders Cynthia R. Green, PhD, and the late Joan Beloff, ACC, ALA, CDP, have organized the book around the stages of life, from childhood through later adulthood, to cover the entire breadth of a loved one's life.

This engaging book offers flexible, fun, and interactive activities that encourage storytelling, reflection, and social interaction. Each experience includes guided discussion prompts and simple, adaptable activities that can be used at home, in group settings, or in professional care environments. Based on the latest research and best practices in dementia care, Through the Years emphasizes a person-centered, wellness-focused approach. Green and Beloff incorporate a multicultural perspective, broadening the book's relevance and opening space for diverse traditions and life experiences. An updated resources section and practical guidance help caregivers tailor activities to individual abilities and changing needs.

Written by two longtime leaders in cognitive wellness and aging, Through the Years reflects a shared commitment to dignity, connection, and quality of life. The activities in this book help create moments of recognition, conversation, and meaning that honor a lifetime of experience.
