A Trans Day of Visibility Reading List

A Hopkins Press Trans Day of Visibility Reading List

In celebration of Trans Day of Visibility, held each year on March 31, we surveyed our recent books and journal articles by and about the trans community. From current events to romantic literature, we're showcasing a broad range of research that is fascinating, engaging and timely for trans communities and the people who care for them.

Our list features recent work by many preeminent trans scholars, including Marquis Bey, Jules Gill-Peterson and Paisley Currah, as well as a forum from Journal of Women's History focusing on Susan Stryker's profound influence on trans and feminist studies.

All journal articles will be free to read through 15 April 2025.
