The Hopkins Press Journals Ethics and Malpractice Statement can be found at the ethics-and-malpractice page.
Human Rights Quarterly(HRQ) is a multidisciplinary journal. The typical article is around 10,000 words. Decisions on acceptance are made by the faculty Editor-in-Chief and faculty Deputy Editor. Approximately 25 percent of the articles will be sent out for blind review to other experts for advice. The actual editing of the articles is done by our law student staff of approximately 70 students. We strive for every article to be able to be understood by the literate reader. Every footnote is checked for form and accuracy. The staff works closely with the authors. It is our firm belief that the key to the success of HRQ is this hybrid editorial approach, and our authors are grateful for the care and attention their manuscripts receive.
