Social Research: An International Quarterly publishes four thematic, cross-disciplinary issues each year, drawing on the social sciences and the humanities. We are not peer-reviewed. Almost 100% of the work we publish is by invitation of the editor or a guest (co)editor for a planned thematic issue. Certain issues on our website will be designated as "open," meaning that we will consider unsolicited manuscripts for those issues; on rare occasions we may publish a nonthematic issue, for which we will also consider unsolicited manuscripts.
Unsolicited submissions must be accompanied by the author's bio or CV, and will be received and considered by the editor and managing editor. If the issue in question has a guest (co)editor, that person will also consider the submission. Outside readers will be occasionally be consulted on both invited and unsolicited submissions as deemed necessary. We strive to respond to unsolicited submissions within six months, and we do not provide feedback on unsolicited manuscripts. All manuscripts submitted to Social Research must conform to our style guidelines. We do not charge or accept any fees for either the submission or publication of papers.
